Maintenance Schedule for Hydraulic and Mechanical Parking Systems

Daily, monthly, quarterly and annual checks for parking lifts, puzzle systems and automated car parks, with the parts that wear and what to keep in stock.

Maintenance Schedule for Hydraulic and Mechanical Parking Systems
Short answer

Check safety locks, sensors and visible damage daily; lubricate chains, ropes and guide rails monthly; inspect hydraulic oil, hoses, cylinders and electrical connections quarterly; and have a qualified technician carry out a full load test and inspection every year.

Mechanical parking is reliable when it is maintained on schedule. The table below is a starting point; always follow the manual supplied with your system.

Parts that wear

Steel structures rarely wear out. The parts that need attention are chains and wire ropes, sheaves, hydraulic seals and hoses, limit switches, photo-eyes and contactors. Replacing them on condition prevents unplanned stops.

Keep records

Log each inspection with the date, findings and parts replaced. Records help with insurance, warranty claims and resale, and they show residents or tenants that the system is cared for.

How we support you

Every order ships with a maintenance manual and a recommended spare-parts list. Our engineers answer technical questions by email, phone and WhatsApp, and we can ship spare parts by air for urgent repairs.

FAQ

How often should a parking lift be serviced?

Users should do simple daily checks, and a qualified technician should service the system at least every three to six months, with a full inspection every year.

Which spare parts should I keep in stock?

Keep limit switches, photo-eyes, hydraulic seals, chain links or wire ropes, fuses and a spare control relay. We list recommended spares with every order.

How long does a parking system last?

With correct maintenance, steel structures last for decades. Hydraulic seals, hoses, chains and ropes are wear parts and are replaced on condition.

Our application engineers size, lay out and specify parking systems for developers, architects and dealers in more than one market. Every article is reviewed against the specifications we ship.
